Delivery Hero confirmed a data breach involving its’ Foodora brand, of personal data for 727,000 accounts across 14 countries – including Canada.
The data dating as far back as 2016 was discovered posted May 19 on a forum known for leaking stolen data and included names, addresses, phone numbers, hashed passwords and precise GPS coordinates of its customers.
Foodora shut down operations in Canada last month, citing its inability to gain competitive traction here, while also fighting a unionization effort.
